Kuna sent seven wrestlers to Skyline High School in Idaho Falls to participate in the 31st Tiger-Grizz Wrestling Tournament Jan. 21-22. Thirty-three schools from Idaho, Wyoming and Utah participated.
Michael Cook went into the tournament seeded 3rd and dominated the 103 pound weight bracket to emerge as 103 Pound Champion. Cook pinned his first two opponents in the first match period during the Championship rounds. Saturday, in the quarter finals Cook received a Major Decision 10-1 against Aguinaga, (Pocatello) and pinned Ashford, (Centennial), in the Semi-Finals. Cook then took the gold medal beating Heap (Star Valley, Wyo.) by major decision 10-1.
